Funding to support remote and online learning
Subsidised remote and online training for UK seafood industry
We introduced our subsidised remote training as a special measure during the pandemic and we are continuing to support the cost of this type of training for seafood industry workers throughout the whole of the UK.
Funding will cover the full cost of the following online courses:
Learners who complete the training and pass an invigilated remotely delivered exam will be presented with a nationally recognised and accredited qualification free of charge.
Funding can also be used to subsidise the cost of our remotely delivered training programmes. Further information on our broad range of remotely delivered courses is available on our onshore training courses page.
Example taught courses, delivered by video conference software include:
- Introduction to HACCP in the seafood industry
- Bivalve purification operations
- Food authenticity and Integrity verification
- Principles of fish quality assessment
