Promoting UK seafood internationally

Seafood from the UK has a great story to tell to overseas buyers. We can help you promote your products through trade shows and marketing toolkits.

The UK hasaglobal reputation for high-quality seafood and is home to some of the freshest fish and shellfish in the world. We also have a history of trading seafood that dates back hundreds of years.

We create connections and provide opportunities for UK companies to promote their products to overseas buyers. We can help you with:

  • support at international seafood trade shows,
  • marketing and promotional assets that businesses can use to help promote your products.

Seafood trade shows

Trade shows are a great opportunity to meet buyers and many large seafood businesses use them as part of their sales and marketing plans.

We can support with attendance at seafood trade shows including Seafood Expo Global and China Fisheries and Seafood Expo.

Most of the trade shows are returning in 2022 following the pandemic.

Seafood Expo Global, 26-28 April, Barcelona

We are returning to Seafood Expo Global this year. It is Europe's biggest seafood trade show. We are hosting a UK pavilion, with the Department for International Trade and DEFRA, and seafood businesses are invited to take up a booth or visit the pavilion.

We have 11 booths in the pavilion which are snapped up quickly. If you would like to join the UK pavilion or find out more about our plans, email or call him on 07966 393987.

International marketing toolkit

We are developing a marketing toolkit that exporting businesses can use in overseas markets. It celebrates the quality and sustainability of seafood from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and the skilled communities who produce it.

It is being produced in collaboration with the Department for International Trade and DEFRA. It will be available in March 2022.
