We are thrilled to announce that the UK seafood pavilion will be returning to the Seafood Expo North America (SENA) for the second consecutive year.
In partnership with Defra and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) we will be hosting a 93sqm pavilion for UK seafood businesses. That’s 19sqm larger than in 2023, providing us with even more space to showcase the best of UK seafood!
About Seafood Expo North America
SENA is the first major international seafood trade show of the calendar year, and it takes place from 10-12 March 2024 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Centre, Boston, Massachusetts.
The event is North America’s largest seafood trade show. It attracts seafood buyers from every market category including retail, foodservice and processing. Suppliers from over 50 countries are expected to exhibit at the show.
About the UK seafood pavilion
The UK pavilion is located at stand 2765, on one of the main thoroughfares at the show. We are across the aisle from the Seafood from Scotland pavilion, creating a strong UK seafood presence at this important event.
The UK pavilion will host an open communal lounge for attending UK seafood companies to hold meetings, as well as a live kitchen hosted by the fantastic chef, CJ Jackson. We are also able to offer a limited amount of individually branded company podiums at the show!
Opportunities for UK seafood businesses
- The communal meeting facility on the UK pavilion provides the perfect setting for business meetings. Representatives from Seafish, Defra and the Department for Business and Trade will be on hand to help you to understand the North American market and to help forge those all-important connections. All UK seafood businesses are welcome to use the facilities.
- UK seafood businesses can also apply for a branded podium on the pavilion. These free-standing podiums cost £500 each and are similar in size to a domestic washing machine.
Each podium has a reverse lockable door for secure storage and is topped with stainless steel spacers and glass. As part of the package, podiums will be mounted with your logo, creating an ideal signpost for your business. - On the evening of the 10 March, the British Consul General, Dr Peter Abbott OBE (pictured below), will host a ‘Festival of Flavour’ reception at the British Residence, Boston. UK seafood businesses will have the opportunity to attend the event, so please let us know if you’re able to join.
- We therefore have two great opportunities for UK seafood businesses to showcase products during SENA 2024. We’d love to hear from businesses interested in donating samples of their seafood products to the ‘Festival of Flavour’ as well as to the UK pavilion’s live kitchen.
UK registered seafood companies can apply for a branded podium via the form in the section below.
