UK Pavilion at Seafood Expo Global

Date: 25 to 27 April 2023

Location: Fira Gran Via, Barcelona

We’re attending the Seafood Expo Global (SEG) trade show in Barcelona in April. Find out how your business can get involved.

Following excellent feedback last year, the UK seafood pavilion is returning to SEG in 2023. We’re hosting the pavilion in partnership with Defra and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).

About Seafood Expo Global

SEG is the world’s largest seafood trade show. It takes place from Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 April at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona.

More than 26,700 seafood professionals from 150 countries attended SEG in 2022. This year’s event is expected to attract even more people, including business owners, buyers, suppliers, and media.

About the UK seafood pavilion

The UK seafood pavilion is located at stand 2I601, in a prime position in Hall 2.

Representatives from Seafish, Defra and DBT will be on hand to provide insight and advice to support your trade plans.

The pavilion will have a communal lounge and private meeting room. The lounge is available for all UK seafood businesses to host meetings with existing clients or to forge new business connections. Businesses looking for a quieter space can pre-book time in the pavilion’s private meeting room.

The pavilion will also have a demonstration kitchen. Chef CJ Jackson will entice attendees by creating delicious dishes with the UK’s finest seafood.

There are also UK seafood businesses with exhibition space on the UK pavilion.

UK seafood export businesses exhibiting on the UK Pavilion

We received overwhelming interest from UK seafood businesses wanting to exhibit on the UK pavilion. As a result, this year’s pavilion has more exhibition space than ever before with double the amount of space in 2022.

13 UK seafood companies are joining us in their own branded booth or pod:

  • Blue Sea Food Company
  • C&N Chambers
  • Crab Company Scotland
  • Edwin Jenkinson Limited
  • Grimsby and Humber Cluster
  • Hilton Seafood
  • Hooktone Group
  • MPI (Holdings) Limited
  • Ocean Fish
  • Oceanic Seafoods
  • Salmo-Group
  • Sea Source
  • Venture Seafoods

We spoke some of the businesses who will be joining us to hear their thoughts on exhibiting on the UK pavilion at SEG. Watch the short videos below to find out more:

Opportunities for UK seafood businesses

Although our exhibition space is now fully allocated, there are still opportunities for UK seafood businesses to use the UK seafood pavilion this year:

  • We welcome all UK seafood businesses to use the communal lounge to conduct business.
  • The private meeting room is also available to all UK seafood companies subject to availability – it can be booked in advance by contacting our team using the details below.
  • We’d also love to hear from businesses interested in donating samples of their seafood products to the UK pavilion’s demonstration kitchen.

We are also planning activities and events for UK seafood businesses during the show. We’ll be adding more details on this here soon.
