Seafood Ethics Action Alliance - Programme Lead

An exciting opportunity for an excellent organisational project manager to join Seafish as our Seafood Ethics Action Alliance - Programme Lead.

The role

Job Title: Seafood Ethics Action Alliance - Programme Lead
Location: Edinburgh, Grimsby or remote (All Seafish staff are currently working from home)
Contract: FTC until April 2023 - Full-time, part-time (minimum of three days a week) or a part-time consultancy position.

In partnership with the Seafood Ethics Action Alliance, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven professional with excellent organisational project management and networking skills. This person will support SEA Alliance work to increase industry leadership and encourage positive change in social responsibility issues across UK seafood supply chains.

The SEA Alliance was established by seafood businesses in 2017 to deliver best practice solutions to human rights issues affecting the UK and Ireland seafood sectors. The programme Lead will work closely with the Seafish secretariat, SEA Alliance Chair, Steering Group and Working Group Leads, participant businesses and external stakeholders, to deliver the SEA Alliance’s progressive work plan.

The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of the global social responsibility landscape, and familiarity with human rights due diligence policy development and implementation. Expertise in socially responsible seafood, and knowledge of ‘sea to plate’ seafood supply chains is desirable but not essential.

If this sounds like you, read the full job description to find out more. For the right candidate we can be flexible. This is a full-time or part-time position (a minimum of three days a week), fixed-term contract until 30 April 2023. We would also consider appointing a consultant on a part-time basis for this role.
