Assisting fishermen to make essential journeys during Covid-19 restrictions

Following requests from fishermen we have created a critical worker certificate for owners, skippers and crew to use when travelling to and from work.

We can issue these certificates on request to any individual who has completed their mandatory training, and are therefore on our training database.

To request a certificate

Email training@seafish.co.uk or call 0131 558 3331 with the following information:

Name
Date of birth
Vessel name
Vessel registration number (PLN)
Vessel location (port of operation)

Note

There is no legal requirement for these certificates to be carried. We are creating them in response to requests from fishermen in order to provide them with a piece of documentation which - if required - can help them to demonstrate that they are a critical worker making a necessary journey.
