About the Scottish Skipper Expo
The Scottish Skipper Expo has grown to be the largest commercial fishing exhibition within the UK. If you are involved in the fishing industry, it is the ideal place to network with likeminded people, do business with exhibiting companies and understand what is new in the fishing industry.
Organiser, Mara Media continually assess the feedback from both visitors and exhibitors and are excited to welcome everyone back in 2023 for its biggest showcase yet, with 170 companies attending.
Seafish at the Skipper Expo 2023
We support the commercial fishing sector in the UK through:
- delivery and funding for mandatory and voluntary safety training;
- guidance and advice on selective fishing gear;
- engagement on fisheries management;
- collection of data on the performance of the industry
Our Kingfisher services also provide subsea hazard information to the industry through the Bulletin live hazard alerts system & offshore news, displaying the FishSAFE mk3 awareness of offshore surface & subsea structures. We also have information on Kis-Orca project–Offshore Renewables & Cable Awareness.
Come along to the Seafish stand 115 to find out about a range of services and information we offer including:
- Mandatory and voluntary safety training courses and copies of safety training certificates from Lee and Katie, our Fisherman’s Training experts.
- Fishing gear selectivity and modifications from David, our Fishing Gear Technologist.
- Subsea hazard mapping and alerts from our Kingfisher team, Jonathan and Matt.
Date and Venue for the Scottish Skipper Expo 2023
The event will take place at the P&J Live Exhibition Arena in Aberdeen on Friday 12 & Saturday 13 May 2023.
You will be able to explore and network between 10am – 5pm on Friday and between 10am – 4pm on Saturday.
