Seafood markets

After seafood is landed, some of it is sold at fish markets around the UK.

From sea to plate, the quality of product and health and food safety issues are of utmost importance.  UK seafood markets are taking steps to ensure that only the best quality product reaches the consumer.

They have also been investing in innovation:

  • Temperature controlled fish halls
  • Electronic auctions/remote bidding

On top of this, major new investments have been made in new markets at Hull and Peterhead.
