Food Defence and Authenticity Training Courses

We offer two training courses; a one-day food defence course, and a two-day food authenticity and integrity course.

Food Defence and Integrity

  • This course is suitable for supervisors and managers.
  • It is a one-day intermediate level course.
  • People who complete the course will receive a joint award from REHIS and Seafish.
  • The course is delivered remotely via Zoom.

Cost is £200 per person (50% funding is available for eligible seafood businesses).

Content

  • Background and scope of food crime;
  • Causes and prevention of food crime;
  • Roles of TACCP and VACCP;
  • Team based approach to managing food chain vulnerabilities and defence.

Principles of Food Authenticity and Integrity Management

  • This course is suitable for managers, enforcement officers and auditing professionals.
  • It is a two-day advanced course.
  • People who complete the course will receive a joint award from REHIS and Seafish.
  • The course is delivered remotely via Zoom.
  • Course materials will be provided with the joining instructions.

Cost is £400 per person (50% funding is available for eligible seafood businesses).

  • Detailed examination of two complex seafood products;
  • Gap analysis and triangulation;
  • Scenario based delivery using case studies;
  • Systematic approach to verification;
