Responsible Fishing Scheme
The Responsible Fishing Scheme (RFS) is a third-party certification scheme developed by industry to recognise vessels with high standards of crew welfare and responsible catching practices. It has moved to a new home as part of a ground-breaking international initiative helping to provide assurance to the whole seafood supply chain.
The next iteration of the RFS, the Responsible Fishing Vessel Standard (RFVS), has been developed in partnership by Seafish and Global Seafood Assurances (GSA) using a robust and collaborative standard development process. The RFVS is owned and operated by GSA globally. For more information on the RFVS, visit the RFVS page on the GSA website.
