Reducing carbon emissions in seafood production

The seafood industry is committed to reducing its carbon footprint through best practice in waste management and innovative production methods.

Understanding the impact of seafood production on climate change is an essential part of responsible and sustainable seafood sourcing. It is an increasing area of focus for seafood businesses looking to make positive change.

We are currently working with businesses and organisations across the seafood supply chain to help us develop tools and resources for seafood businesses.

This is a developing work area for us but in the meantime, you can make use of our Seafood Co2 Profiling Tool or read some of our guidance for processing businesses on waste mangement.
