Some of the biggest names in retail, processing and food service supply have committed to incorporating Responsible Fishing Scheme certification into their sourcing policies.

Some of the biggest names in retail, processing and food service supply have committed to incorporating Responsible Fishing Scheme certification into their sourcing policies.

Companies sourcing seafood from across the UK say that the RFS can give them much-needed assurance and help reinforce their role in raising standards industry-wide.

The Supply Chain Supporter statement reads:

We have committed to incorporating RFS certification into our sourcing policies.

We recognise that the RFS can become an effective mechanism through which the UK supply chain can establish the assurance it needs regarding responsible fishing practice whilst the certified skippers can receive the recognition they deserve, ultimately contributing to the global seafood industry’s long term viability.
