British Fish Craft Championships

The British Fish Craft Championships, organised by The National Federation of Fishmongers, showcased the best of the UK’s mongers. Supported widely by the seafood industry, with the overall championship sponsored by Seafish, the competition continues to attract a number of fishmongers form around the UK. To find out more about this year’s event read the article.

Market Insight Seminar

Seafish will be hosting a free Market Insight Seminar on the UK Seafood Market at Billingsgate Fish Market on Thursday 26 September 2019. The event, which will cover food service and species trends, provides an opportunity for businesses to gain first-hand insights into the latest seafood trends and market research. Seafood Innovation Fund seeks assessors

Cefas is seeking anonymous assessors to evaluate bids received for the Seafood Innovation Fund. The fund covers areas such as marine and land-based aquaculture, catch fisheries, technology/management, on-shore supply chain and seafood processing. Climate Change in Wild Capture update published

The latest annual report on Climate Change Adaptation in Wild Capture has been published. This light touch report is part of an ongoing watching brief, informed by a survey of industry operators, which looks at how climate change is affecting seafood and industry response and it highlights important UK industry experiences of climate change in both domestic and international contexts.
