KFE Training Courses

One-day Fish Frying Skills

  • This course is suitable for people interesting in fish frying and inexperienced fish friers.
  • It is a one-day taught course is available at the KFE training centre in Market Deeping.
  • People who complete the course will receive a KFE/Seafish attendance certificate.
  • Course cost will be confirmed by the training provider.

Two-day Fish Frying Skills

  • This course is suitable for people working as fish friers, fish frier supervisors and fish frier managers.
  • It is a two-day taught course is available at the KFE training centre in Market Deeping.
  • People who complete the course will receive a KFE/Seafish attendance certificate.
  • Course cost will be confirmed by the training provider.

Fish Frying in shop training

  • This course is suitable for fish friers, fish frier supervisors and fish frier managers.

  • This course is suitable for people interested in managing a fish and chip business; both individuals new to the industry along with those who want to progress their career in the industry.
  • Topics covered include costing your product, marketing, fish frying skills, oil management and portion control.
  • It is a three-day taught course delivered via Zoom followed by an intense one-day practical session in Leeds.
  • People who complete the course will receive a NFFF/Seafish attendance certificate.
  • Course cost will be confirmed by the training provider.
  • Course materials are supplied by NFFF.

Fish Frying in shop training

  • This course is suitable for fish friers, supervisors and managers.
  • It is a one-day taught course is available across the UK.
  • People who complete the course will receive a NFFF/Seafish attendance certificate.
  • Course cost will be confirmed by the training provider.
  • Course materials are supplied by NFFF.

Fish Frying Skills Distance Learning Programme

  • This course is suitable for fish friers, supervisors and managers.
  • It requires around 10 hours of independent study followed by a remote test (practical and multiple-choice).
  • People who pass the course tests will receive a NFFF/Seafish certificate.
  • Course cost will be confirmed by the training provider.
  • A self-study pack is provided by NFFF.

Customer Service Skills Distance Learning Programme

  • This course is suitable for counter assistants and customer service assistants who work in fish and chip shops.
  • It requires around 10 hours of independent study followed by a test at your place of work.
  • People who pass the course tests will receive a NFFF/Seafish certificate.
  • Course cost will be confirmed by the training provider.
  • A self-study pack is provided by NFFF.
