Get involved with Love Seafood in 2021

The latest updates on how seafood businesses can use the Love Seafood consumer brand to support your own marketing efforts.

Following a successful launch last October, we now have more tools and opportunities for seafood businesses to engage with Love Seafood in 2021.

Love Seafood marketing toolkit and assets

Our seafood industry is diverse and we want to make it easy for businesses of all sizes to engage with Love Seafood. With this in mind, we’ve created a marketing toolkit with everything you need to know about the brand. It includes an overview of our aims and objectives as well as details of how to use assets to promote your business.

We've also just released new assets, including artwork for recipes cards and posters for you to download and print. (If you don’t have a printer, we’ve partnered with a commercial printer who can print items on your behalf). The files for these new assets are available – alongside product shots, social media templates, sample posts and film clips – in the Love Seafood category on our online asset bank.

Seafood Champion recruitment

We want consumers to be informed and inspired to enjoy a better, more balanced lifestyle by eating more seafood more often. A key part of achieving this is bringing together Seafood Champions - individuals and businesses who catch, supply and serve great fish and shellfish.

We’re currently looking for people with interesting stories to tell – whether you’ve got delicious recipe ideas or a distinct way of engaging with your customers. Champions will have the chance to get involved with press activities, social media content, events and more. By sharing and celebrating seafood stories from across the industry, we can all inspire the UK to fall in love with seafood.

A taste of more to come

Talking about opportunities to engage with Love Seafood in 2021, Greg Smith our Head of Marketing said:

Launching our new consumer brand was an important milestone in our long-term goal of increasing seafood consumption. The first step to behaviour change is positively influencing consumer attitudes to seafood, so we’re delighted to be sharing details of how businesses can engage with Love Seafood in 2021.

The latest updates will make it easy for business of all sizes to join the Love Seafood community. Our marketing toolkit and assets will help businesses reap the benefits of nationwide marketing activity and amplify messaging to consumers. Our Seafood Champions will be at the core of Love Seafood and have great opportunities to raise their business profile. We’d love to hear from those with an interesting story to tell so please get in touch.

And there’s even more coming soon. We’re planning online masterclasses for seafood businesses in March and will send out printed material to seafood retailers and food service partners around the same time. We’ll also have fresh consumer campaign activity ready for launch in the spring. I’d encourage businesses to sign up to our mailing list and follow the brand on social media to keep up to date.
