Introduction to Fishmongering

This one-day course has been developed in collaboration with the Billingsgate Seafood Training School.

It is ideal for those interested in pursuing a career in the seafood retail industry. People who have recently started a career as a fishmonger or working on a seafood counter in a supermarket would also find this course beneficial.

The course consists of theory based modules including customer service and practical based modules including knife skills. Candidates completing this course receive a Seafish certificate of attendance.

Other related training courses are available or are being developed for delivery by Seafish approved training providers.

Fishmongering units are available as part of the Level 2 NVQ/SVQ in fish and shellfish industry skills
