Economic Impact Assessments

Here you can find out more about financial projections for key fleet segments.

Print

The Seafish Economics team produces profit forecasts for key fleet segments in January each year. They supplement these in summer with a further run of the forecasting model using updated data and a series of interviews of skippers, vessel agents and producer organisations. This gives a better idea of the expected financial outcome for the fleet in the current year.

There are also views and opinions relating to various aspects of fisheries management which could be helpful to policy makers seeking to understand the impacts of the current year's management regime.
