Training is the bedrock of any successful business. We have devised a suite of training materials relevant to processors.

Well-trained, competent staff are more efficient, motivated and productive. Seafish's role in supporting training for the processing sector includes learning programme development, advice and guidance on training, working with approved training providers, making good use of fish and shellfish occupational standards and actively supporting the take-up of training and qualifications.

Seafish e-LearningFood Safety and Seafood Smoking e-learning packages are available online from Seafish. Whether you need a formal qualification in food safety, or simply want to improve your understanding of how to smoke haddock, Seafish e-Learning is for you. National Occupational Standards for ProcessorsThe new (2010) fish and shellfish occupational standards represent a significant leap forward for the seafood processing sector. The new standards will drive forward qualifications, apprenticeships and new programmes.
