Nielsen UK retail market reports
We currently post eight Nielsen retail reports every month focusing on volume, value and price and 'share of trade' trends in key areas of the retail market.
Our syndicated reports cover most requirements but If you have a specific interest in a particular product or seafood we can produce a bespoke report from our Nielsen Database. This service is free of charge for the seafood businesses. Contact: r_watson@seafish.co.uk

The UK Trade Reports give details of seafood product imports into and exports out of the United Kingdom. Detailed import and export statistics are given by country, species and presentation for the current month and the year-to-date, showing both quantity and value. This data is sourced from United Kingdom HM Revenue & Customs. (Produced 2 months in arrears)

- Imports of Cod, haddock and prawn imports by top chilled and frozen codes: a new report that breaks out the top chilled and frozen codes (by value) for cod, haddock and prawns by country of origin.
- Exports by country

- 2010 Trade Summary: An overview of the UK's trade in seafood, including species imported and exported, as well as top trade partner countries. The report looks at how these patterns have changed compared to 2009.
- 2009 Trade Summary
- Nephrops Landings Data: Reqular Nephrops Landings Data shows landings of Nephrops split by tail and whole. It looks at the year to date, the last 52 weeks compared with the previous year and the latest month. Nephrops landings are split by principal ports in volume (live and product weight) and value terms.

- Full trade statistics can be downloaded from the UK trade info site produced HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). Register, then search the 'Trade Data' section.
