Norway: EU overestimated arsenic content

The Norwegian National Institute of Nutrition and Seafood Research (NIFES) has examined the content of several contaminants, including inorganic arsenic, in Atlantic halibut, Greenland halibut, tusk, saithe, herring, mackerel and cod. NIFES is alleging that the content of arsenic in Norwegian fish is ten times lower than the level used by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in its calculations.
