Hygiene regs update on parasites

The European Commission has updated the Hygiene Regulation with an amendment on the control of parasites in fish and fishery products. The amendment allows the new treatment of freezing fishery products to -35°C for 15 hours. The new Regulation also exempts fish that has been stored for a sufficient time as frozen fishery products (at -18°C or lower) from requiring any treatment.
