HBCDDs not a health concern

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has published a Scientific Opinion on hexabromocyclododecanes (HBCDDs) in which it is concluded that they are not currently a health concern. HBCDDs are flame retardants used in construction and packing that are also present in the environment, including food and feed.
