Guidance note on the Food Information Regulation

12 August 2011

The proposed Food Information Regulation is currently being discussed in the European insitutions. It is intended to consolidate all the changes that have been made to the current Food Labelling Regulation and modernise it, as well as ensuring greater consistency of rules between Member States.

Seafish has produced an Industry Guidance Note that describes the main changes the new Food Information Regulation will make to current food labelling rules in the UK, as they affect seafood businesses.

The Seafish Industry Guidance Note is available via this link: /media/publications/SeafishGuidanceNote_FIR_201108.pdf
