Commission advises on brown meat of crab

The European Commission has issued an Information Note on the consumption of the brown meat of crab. The document recommends to member states to inform their consumers of the relatively high level of cadmium associated with the brown meat. In the Note, the Commission considers it "an appropriate and reasonable management tool" for member states to discourage or limit consumption through consumer advice.
