Change of food business operator: new procedure

31 January 2012

The Food Standards Agency has advised of the new procedure to be followed when a food business approved by the FSA changes food business operator (FBO). After 31 January 2012, if there is a change to the FBO, the business will need a new approval. If the new FBO has informed the FSA of the change, the business can continue to trade for 4 weeks using the existing approval pending a new approval assessment.
