Bangladesh hopeful test requirements will end

Bangladeshi exporters are hopeful that the EU will remove its requirement for extra testing of Bangladeshi shrimp following a favourable response to Bangladesh's action plan. The Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) has recently sent a mission to inspect Bangladesh's residue control system for farmed crustaceans and fish. It now appears that the Bangladeshi authorities have addressed the FVO's recommendations.
