Marine protection

We are involved in a number of important initiatives to help protect the marine environment, in partnership with the fishing and aquaculture industries, and we also monitor and report on important initiatives and the progress of key legislation.

We welcome the Marine Acts for the clarity they will bring to the management of our shared resources.

We also welcome the introduction of Marine Protected Areas, provided that their introduction is based on sound science and that all stakeholders are engaged at all stages of their creation.
