What we do in training

We promote training in three ways:

•    We develop and maintain training courses and learning materials
•    We work with a network of Approved Training Providers who deliver our courses throughout the UK
•    We established the Seafood Training Academy as a partnership of seafood schools in the UK.

At Seafish we have available a suite of training options that are relevant to a broad range of individuals working in the processing sector of the seafood industry. These range from training videos to courses leading to nationally recognised qualifications, so it is highly likely we have the right training for you and your staff.

In collaboration with Improve Ltd we have developed a comprehensive suite of fish and shellfish national occupational standards that are used within Improve Proficiency Qualifications and for Apprenticeships in Fish and Shellfish.

We have established the Seafood Training Academy with other partners in the seafood industry to bring additional opportunities in seafood learning and training.
