Training programmes
We have developed a range of seafood specific training programmes for the seafood industry, many of which lead to a nationally recognized qualification.
Training programmes in food safety, health & safety, seafood quality assessment, bivalve purification and fish filleting are available via our network of Seafish approved trainers. Some courses are also available through open learning and eLearning.
Our portfolio of taught courses is extensive and includes:
- Food Safety (Level 2) and Food Hygiene (Introductory, Elementary and Intermediate);
- Introduction to HACCP;
- Health and safety (Levels 1 and 2);
- Filleting and other hand skills;
- Bivalve Purification (Operations, Management and Inspections courses);
- Seafood Quality Assessment (Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced);
- Introduction to the Seafood Industry (new for 2010);
Many of the prices quoted for training courses are for guidance only. The actual cost of any individual course is dependent upon trainers costs, venue costs and materials costs.
