Pakistan hopes to resume exports

According to Pakistan's Daily Times, the EU has expressed satisfaction with most of the steps taken by the government of Pakistan. The steps include laboratory modernisation and accreditation and various improvements required to comply with EU hygiene requirements. Following a request by the Commission, Pakistan's Marine Fisheries Department will submit an establishment HACCP report to the Commission. The EU delisted Pakistani fisheries establishments exporting fish and seafood products to EU in 2007 due to their failure to meet EU requirements.
