Pakistan's seafood exports remain blocked

According to Dawn.com, seafood exports to countries of the European Union are unlikely to resume this year because the European Commission has not included Pakistan in its list of planned inspections for 2012. The Director General of Pakistan's Marine Fisheries Directorate, however, remains hopeful. He believes Pakistan's case is different, and he maintains that all of the Commission's requests have been met or will be met very soon.
