FSA publishes guidance on imported food control

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has published guidance on effective imported food control for local authority food services. The guide is subtitled 'Effective imported food control advice for Local Authority Food Law Enforcement Team Managers with responsibility for inland imported food control and at smaller seaports and airports'. The advice highlights some simple and practical issues, and focuses on: identification of imported food; implementation of effective controls; and service planning, management and support activities.
