Bangladesh seafood checks relaxed

16 November 2011

The Commission has relaxed the restrictions on seafood from Bangladesh. Decison 2011/742 removes with the requirement for 20% of consignments to be tested at the EU border post for tetracycline and tetracycline analogues, nitrofuran metabolytes and dyes. The consignments will still have to arrive at the border accompanied by certificates of analysis for the residues or, alternatively, they can be tested at the border.
