BFFF/Seafish Importers’ Committee
The BFFF/Seafish Importers’ Committee advises Seafish, legislators and statutory authorities on issues that affect the importation of seafood into the UK. The committee members recommend work that may be undertaken on behalf of the importing community that will have a positive benefit on that sector of the industry.
Members appraise upcoming relevant legislation and regulations and make recommendations as they see fit. Additionally, they advise, liaise and influence EU, Government, NGOs and other bodies as required
Membership of the committee comprises of representatives of UK seafood importing companies, representative associations, and regulators and statutory authorities.
Committee meetings are chaired by a representative of the BFFF and the secretarial and administrative support for the Committee is provided by Seafish.
