Seafish work

As one of the biggest challenges facing the UK seafood industry, we are currently working on a range of projects to provide insight and practical support on marine and food legislation, markets and trade, labour requirements and accessing public funding.

Seafood Markets and Trade

Our regulation team have put together guidance on tariffs aimed at seafood importers. It explains how to use the UK Government's Trade Tariff website to find the tariff that applies to a particular seafood product intended for import. Click here to watch the full video guide.

Labour Requirements

The Seafish Economics team have been working closely with seafood processors across the UK to understand its current workforce demographics and how they are recruiting. The research is carried out quarterly to understand what impact the EU Exit negotiations could be having on recruitment. Click here to read the latest findings.

Have your say

As we work our way through the process, we're keen to hear from all our stakeholders and industry regarding its impact. So, wherever you sit in the supply chain, we'd love you to give us your opinion on key areas such as production management, trade, regulation, public funding and access to labour.
