National Occupational Standards in Foodservice
The development of new standards in 2010 will drive forward qualifications, apprenticeships and new training programmes/materials in food service.
Much of this work has been carried out by People 1st on behalf of the UK food service sector.
Seafish and the National Federation of Fish Friers Ltd have contributed to this development by assisting People 1st with expert guidance on the needs of fish friers and seafood chefs.

Seafish and Improve Ltd have developed/revised almost 60 fish and shellfish NOS units, including one provisional unit Principles of Frying Fish and Chips.
