Seafish responds to NIEA consultation

Seafish has responded to the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) Consultation on draft Special Areas of Conservation - The Skerries/Causeway and The Maidens. Seafish expressed concern that the areas being proposed to protect relatively small features are excessively large. Seafish says the boundaries should be in line with the boundary delineation guidelines set down by JNCC/Natural England, which require that site designation is specific to the features to be protected and as compact as possible.
