IUU: flag state notification update
The European Commission has updated the list of flag states whose competent authorities have been notified to the Commission for the purposes of the Regulation on Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing. The competent authorities of Benin, Guatemala and South Africa have been amended. A note under the Netherlands Antilles entry states that following the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles, the European Commission is awaiting information on the relevant competent authorities for Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba.
