Commission proposes shark finning ban

The European Commission has proposed a ban, with no exemptions, on the practice of shark finning aboard fishing vessels. The Commission wants all vessels fishing in EU waters and all EU vessels fishing anywhere in the world to land sharks with the fins still attached.
