Fish and chip shops and businesses displaying a National Fish & Chip Award have been independently assessed by Seafish, and found to be delivering fantastic food and service to consistently high standards.

Fish and chip businesses are appraised and judged on a wide variety of criteria ranging from sustainable sourcing practices, customer service, hygiene and staff training, and most importantly, the quality of their fish and chips.

Media activity undertaken by Seafish in relation to the awards generates fantastic publicity for the fish and chip sector.

Various judging rounds eventually culminate at a prestigious awards ceremony widely considered as the 'Oscars' of the fish frying industry, rewarding the best talent, quality and choice offered by fish and chip businesses.

The 2016 awards ceremony was held on 20 January 2016 in London - for full results please visit the website.
