Registration inspections
We provide an inspection service for existing vessels that do not have Seafish certification but where UK fishing vessel registration is desired.
This service can only be provided for vessels less than 24m registered length built before 16 July 2007.
If a fishing boat has been off the registry for more than six months then this inspection will be requested by the Registry of Shipping and Seamen (RSS). You should always check with the RSS or the MCA before applying for this service.
After the inspection, a report will be sent to the owner of the vessel and the MCA. The MCA will then decide if registration will be given. The inspection does not lead to the certification of a vessel.
Condition surveys
Our surveyors can perform annual inspections to assess the condition of a vessel, providing a comprehensive report listing any defects and recommendations.
