Tender for environmental project manager

Seafish is advertising for a project manager to manage an environmental data gathering trial with fishermen from 1 November 2011 until 31 July 2012. The project involves fishermen collecting environmental information from MPAs off the east, south and west coasts of England and collecting sea temperature data in collaboration with the Met Office off the south coast. The project manager will organize the trials, which will require training the fishermen, assistance and reporting on the performance of each trial. The project manager will report to an advisory group and produce two manuals: one for fishermen to undertake monitoring and reporting of environmental parameters of MPAs and the second for recording and reporting temperature data for the Met Office. The project manager is expected to spend 75 days working on the project.
